David is Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Digital Health at the University of Exeter Medical School. He has been at the forefront of applying data science and AI to dementia research and brain health, and in 2019 founded the DEMON Network with support from Alzheimer’s Research UK and the EPSRC to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration. The network has since become a leading international initiative, uniting more than 1,600 members across six continents. His current work focuses on harnessing artificial general intelligence in brain health clinics, integrating multimodal biomarkers, and optimising dementia-related clinical trials.
