Louise Robinson, an academic GP, holds the only UK Regius Professorship in Ageing. She was awarded a Damehood in 2018 for services to the care and research of older people. She is a previous NIHR Professor and NIHR Senior Investigator. Her personal research programme is focused on improving quality of life and quality of care for older people, especially those living with dementia. She led 1 of 3 Alzheimer Society national Centres of Excellence on Dementia Care. Louise was primary care lead for the Prime Minister’s Dementia Challenge and was a member of the NICE Dementia Care Guidelines development group.
